The wolf in the painting represents me as a mother and the loss of connection and meaningful relationships with my children.

The wolf howling was the emotional grief I experienced and me calling out to my Ancestors who are represented by the mountains, trees and ‘Papatuanuku’ (Mother Earth) for guidance.” – Lisa
